Btw, HAPPY NEW YR EVERYONE!!
Wishing all bloggers and non-bloggers a prosperous year ahead. May recession end [haha..] No I mean seriously. May terrorism end. May this yr be a pleasant yr ahead and may all your goals be attained.
This yr's Marina Bay celebrations were marvellous! I didn't go there actually. U noe all the channels celebrated their New Yr and they previewed Marina Bay's fireworks when they countdown the new yr. I think the warm invitation and arrival of 2010 was just so grand and wonderful!! I loved this yr's countdown shows! They're just so different and exciting. Some of the channels who used to conduct countdown shows on the street this yr changed it to the Singapore Indoor Stadium which is better as the ppl don't and can't just behave as their wish and don't scream like shhhiiittt. In past countdown shows, they were so much foreigners who attended the street shows nd they kept on screaming and screaming, hindering the performance. I eventually fell asleep, watching the encore thereafter.
Now, what about the show that Singapore anticipates for?!
SINGAPORE IDOL!!!!!!!!!
I supported for Sylvia Ratonel. Reasons, well.. actually she has so much talent and her vocals are wonderful. All the songs she sang in the finals were wonderful!! In the end, its more in our hands as the votes matter more. I also wanted her to be the Singapore Idol as eventhough her family was not much of a stable family. Living in a room-flat and giving the best shots for audience, hiding her feelings and pretending to be happy for us, and sacrificing almost everything for her family was just too much a thing for Sylvia. The next is just the common thing that I want a female idol this time round. Sylvia has mentioned in the finals that she won't let us down. But, she's the first female finalist that Singapore has ever had! Isn't already smth that evryone looks up to her for already?!
Actually, I supported for Tabitha Nauser and Sylvia Ratonel all the way from the start. The TOP 3 should have given the judges a tough time indeed!! The 3 were just the best indeed singers for Singapore. But reality, someone had to leave. But I really appreciate Tabitha, not only Tabitha actually, all the Singapore Idol participants as to be in front of 3 people to sing, you need loads of bravery, courage and talent, of course. Especially as during the auditions round, some participants had to overnight there. The number was just too too large! I am indeed impressed at the participation of Singaporeans.
Anws, did you guys here about the hot news in today's paper? I am not so sure which paper but it is about the fans of Singapore Idol, Tabitha Nauser actually, who complained about the wrong decision of the Top 3 finalists. Tabitha's fans have threatened Sylvia and Sezairi online and argued that Tabitha should be in the finals. Tabitha says that this is flattering but it's not the appropriate way. I totally agree with her. Anw, even if they're outta the competition, they're still in our hearts.
Haaaiizzz.. Sch's starting.. I am soooo lazy..
